In deep, cold water in the pitch dark, a small group of athletes began their day by having no idea where the first buoy was located. All they knew was to hug the shore. James said, “Go!”.

A 105-mile bike to Brighton Resort from Jordanelle Reservoir with just shy of 9,000 feet of vertical climbing was on tap for those who made it through the swim.
