Antoine Desroches, Vegan Professional Triathlete on his Epic First Ironman Finish
After a lengthy fog delay, Antoine did what he didn't think possible. He finished his first Ironman, he ran his first marathon, he crushed his goals and placed fourth overall male professional on the heels of Matt Russell and Lionel Sanders. He led the swim with no other competitors in sight except female professional Lauren Brandon who was also dominating the swim.
Antoine wasn't even thinking about placing at Ironman Mont Tremblant. He was focused on executing his own race and that's it. After all, it was a super stacked field and he hadn't even finished an Ironman yet, not to mention that just days before he was unsure if his body would be race ready.
Antoine is not only a professional triathlete, he is for sure a YogiTriathlete. He shares his plant-based transformation story, his practice of being in the Now and the ultimate, getting zen with peeing. For Antoine, race day is about forgetting the numbers and getting after it. He believes in training your weakness and racing with your strengths and that eating a plant-based diet is allowing him to compete at the highest level. We're so excited to share this guy with you today, he's compassionate, he's badass and he's definitely a professional to watch closely over these next several years.
