Rip Esselstyn on A PLANTSTRONG Life and Galileo Moments

Rip Esselstyn has lived a plant-strong life since the 1980s and spent a decade as a top-level professional triathlete. He helped change, if not save his mates' lives at the now-famous Engine 2 firehouse in Austin, Texas, by introducing a plant-based challenge and then writing the national best-selling book, "The Engine 2 Diet". The first of several books Rip would go on to write.  Prominently featured in the documentary "Forks Over Knives", the Engine 2 story profoundly affected the transition of many to a plant-based diet. Rip is an executive producer on the myth-shattering documentary Game Changers; he is the PlantStrong podcast host, the PLANTSTRONG food line creator; he's a husband, dad, and significant inspiration for living a heart-attack proof life.  He's a legend in the plant-based world, and we're so honored to share this conversation with the YT community. In this episode, we discuss: - why a plant-strong life checks all the boxes - our genetic makeup is not necessarily our destiny - fiber and the microbiome connection - salt, sugar, fat addiction - why people can't get rid of their dairy crack - pulling on the thread of oil - triumph of marketing over science - label reading ninja warriors - the real trouble of an underperforming penis - Rip's rubber leg  - Galileo Moments We recognize our Patreon community for their support.
