To look back and connect the dots is easy. Showing up and putting yourself out there before it all makes sense is scary. Yet, not impossible. Our guest today, Sonya Looney shows us how continually getting out of your comfort, strengthening our anti-quit muscle, and doing what you love can mold itself into a life of adventure and inspiration.
Sonya is a plant-based world champion mountain biker, podcast host of the Sonya Looney Show, owner of her own apparel company Moxy & Grit, speaker, and freelance writer. She is committed to helping people live better and feel more alive. She shares great wisdom from her experiences and opens up about the newest and arguably greatest achievement of her life, becoming a mom.
We discuss her plan to race once the baby is born, and she shares what she’s already learned about becoming a mother. We talk about cultivating calm and how that informs our response to things that happen during a race. She admits to being a closet vegan for years in fear of offending others or being labeled harshly.
Sonya is a brave athlete living off the front and certainly someone to bring into your follow circle if she’s not already there. Thank you for your support of the YogiTriathlete podcast.
