All retreats are led by YogiTriathlete co-founders BJ and Jess Gumkowski, with cameos by Clark, the golden retriever, more commonly known as the “Coach of Joy.”
Known as the village by the sea, Carlsbad offers the charm of a European town with the conveniences of a large city. Carlsbad’s perfectly mild climate offers year-round outdoor living. A mecca for activity, no matter what time of day or night, you will spot someone or many moving their bodies to upkeep the vibrant way of life that is commonplace in this area of the world.
Biking, hiking, swimming (ocean and outdoor saline pools), and running trails are all accessible within the village. The City of Carlsbad is committed to preserving open space for its residents and visitors to enjoy the wonders of nature and ensure the excellent quality of life that is so evident amongst the locals.
On retreat, we will identify your desired areas for movement and customize an itinerary for you. We offer deep immersions that are all-inclusive and a la carte retreats where we begin and end each day with yoga/mobility/meditation and/or mindful workshops to develop healthy patterns for you to put into action in your life immediately.

Perfect for couples, friends, and singles looking to disrupt their norms, break through limits, and see life in a new way. These retreats are for groups of up to six. See the sample itinerary below, although once you secure your dates, you will receive a questionnaire so that we may customize an itinerary to your liking.
This retreat experience includes:
– three plant-based meals per day
– daily yoga and guided meditation (up to two classes per day)
– mindset coaching (option for 1:1 sessions)
– physical coaching and training
– open discussion time throughout your retreat experience as you desire; topics for additional learning include plant-based nutrition, Ayurveda, journaling, meditation, mindfulness and mindset training, minimalism, yoga as a science of the mind, and enlightened partnerships

Three-Day A La Carte
This option is terrific for larger groups wanting more free time to explore or lounge on one of Carlsbad’s best beaches throughout their retreat.
This retreat experience includes:

– Catered dinner on the beach by Choice Juicery to enhance the mindful eating experience activity.
– Guided hikes or training sessions with YogiTriathlete throughout your retreat; if you choose to train independently, we’ll point you to some of our favorite areas and routes.
– Plant-based dinners to be prepared and served in your vacation home.
– Dinner at The Plot – we are happy to secure the reservation on your behalf – we have a lovely relationship with them.
– Walking Tour of Historic Carlsbad paid directly to Walk The City.
All yoga classes are accessible for all levels and will vary from an invigorating morning flow to the deeply restorative practice of yoga nidra. No experience is necessary. Please bring your yoga mat and an open mind; we have the rest covered. We will secure the locations for classes and cover any rental or permit fees.

Balance due: 45 days out from retreat start (3.49% processing fee applies for PayPal payments)
If you cancel up to 45 days before your retreat start date and you paid in full, a refund of your payment (minus the initial deposit and processing fees incurred) is available.
If you cancel 0-44 days out from the retreat start date, the total amount of your retreat is not refundable.
