Three down, twenty-seven to go and all is well. This week I had lighter volume on the triathlon front so I beefed up the yoga in replacement of running a 5k on Sunday. Coming off last week I feel super strong and rested. I remember in previous years really getting my ass kicked these first few weeks but that is not the case this time around. I’m going to chalk that up to my plant power diet and a strong off season. My recovery continues to be quick. No matter the level of burn the night before I’ve been ready to attack each day of training.
As I move into this week I am looking forward to a yoga intensive weekend with Bryan Kest at Newport Power Yoga where I teach. It will be a total of 7 hours between Saturday and Sunday, I’ll be flexible on how my training fits in with that and will adjust as necessary based on how my body is feeling. I am grateful for another full week of being healthy and solid training.
