With three weeks to go until Lake Sonoma 50, BJ and I kick off this installment of Ask the YTs by diving into my training. New shoes, high volume weeks, long taper and nutrition experiments. We stress the importance of rest and recovery as a means to absorb fitness and adapt to training. The hay is in the barn. Now it’s specificity, staying healthy and maintaining my engine. 50/50, here we come!
