Keira Henninger is someone who found what she loves and continues to do more of it. Keira is a long, like long, time ultra trail runner with an impressive resume and race results dating back to the early 2000s on ultra-signup.
She has run the distances, taken the wins, DNF’d, DNS’d, and after years of racing on the elite level, learned to become a more balanced athlete via a 3-year journey to reclaim her mind and body. Keira is the creator of Keira Henninger Trail Races and the Dirt Divas and Dudes Trail team.
She directs some of the most iconic west coast races, she loves to cook and be outside as much as possible, but our favorite thing about our new friend is her belief that the universe is ultimately good.
In this episode, we discuss:
- growing up on the trails
- her ultimate demise
- runaway train mentality
- when nothing is good enough
- feeling so bad and focusing so much on it
- tomorrow is only going to bring wonderful things
- I know, that I know, that I know.
